Conference Info

The Extended Play conference will take place on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th November, with talks and panels from a wide variety of industry figures, all exploring the theme of 'games as a service' in terms of their own experiences and opinions. Alongside these will run other festival activities, more details to be announced soon.

The conference will open at 10am on both days and the main events will run between 11am-6pm, after which there will be a main keynote on the Friday with drinks and canapes.

In the evenings on both days we will be hosting "Extended Play Late" to which all conference, Games Jam and bootcamp attendees are invited.

What makes this conference different?

Each year Extended Play will explore a key topic which developers can take advantage of to build successful contemporary game properties. This year the festival will focus on 'games as a service', looking at what opportunities and challenges this presents. Areas of analysis will include new business models, platforms and development processes as well as providing opportunities for developers to divulge more about their creative and commercial successes. Through keynotes, talks, panels and fun activities, Extended Play seeks to inspire and share knowledge between speakers and attendees.

Extended Play is also the first games festival in the south west and is also designed to promote and enhance the games industry in the area.
